  • 4 things learnt from the big win

    1- Brett Morris
I think he has won the race for the right wing position.
Hall should be a bear from now on. He's also a good luck charm as we know what happened last time we signed a veteran winger named Brett who's father played for our club.
    2- Sam Verrills
Has to be Jakes first choice backup. Radley has to be lock
    3- Angus
He is a 2nd rower with an offload. I'd be tempted to leave him on the left and play Cordner in the 12. Worth an experiment?
    4- Sitili
Has earned a place in the 17, even when we're at full strength. Perhaps Tetevano is the unlucky one.

Angus was best forward by a mile. Led by example. More of this please Angus. Thank you.

No chance of no Tets. I think it's between Butch and Sitili if we are ever at full strength.

        1. Hall is in front of Morris, who is our super sub in the back five.
        2. Agree. No doubt about it.
        3. I will be happy to see him back at 12 (his proper side) without moving Cords - and Aubbo on the bench.
        4. In that case what's your bench at full strength?

          Lui
          Aubbusson
          Sitili
          Butcher

Tetevano and the Farmer next in line.

            You're probably right.
It's just that Sitili is providing such great value off the bench. He's in everything when he's on, like some kind of souped up energizer bunny.
Butcher would be real unlucky to miss out as well.

Is it just me or the body language between Cronk and Mitchel shows some friction.

Just something I noticed during yesterday try celebrations.

I think it's just you. I'll sure they will re-bond well after we go back-to-back.

I did like Cronk's reaction in the background when Collins screwed up.

Tetevano, Aubusson, Butcher and Liu on the bench whilst Friend is out, after that we need Verrills on the bench as Friend will be hard pressed and prone to further injuries if left to play 80 minutes, and we saw how valuable Radley is at 13 and we lose too much flair if he’s used at dummy half to relief Friend.

Collins should never touch first grade again. Thought we were rid of him after the Knights game.

You learn absolutely nothing from a big win, the opposition were terrible. Happy to be proved wrong but I would love to see what you are all saying at the end of the year win or lose.
                            1. Morris will be in front now as Hall just hasn't had enough footy and played while all the good players were being rested, which also didn't help him.
                            2. The kid really didn't do anything against a mediocre opposition. Trent has held him back for these 2 games against 15th and 16th on the table. We'll see how he goes over the coming weeks especially against a mobile Canberra on fire. He will get gassed and he will make errors, we'll see how forgiving you are then.
                            3. For his price we are getting ripped off. He played all his footy for Souths on the right edge, hence why he was signed, he will never push Cords out of his position especially with the how much the Cords and the team are off him. He is as popular as Hasting was before he left except he costs 4x times as much. I'll be shocked if he is still here next year.
                            4. There will be injuries still so the bench will all depend on who is playing well and if we are lacking middles or edge players. At full strenght Verrills will not be there and I think Butcher is almost locked in as he can play middle and edge. They will run out GF day as close as possible to last years team, otherwise all this resting and rotation would have been a waste of time.
