Burgess getting a downgrade is a joke to most of the media for starters. His consistent 'accidents' regularly happen to a playmaker of the opposition. This sends a clear signal that he's entitled to do that.

if it’s 50/50 it natural to take the side of who you support, if it’s blatantly obviously that one of our own were at fault, I don’t have any problem with them copping the punishment, I won’t be joining in the “send him off” chorus, but will be plenty in the shits that one of our players has cost his team through foul play.
