Never question Boyd’s commitment to this club. He backed up from origin very well this year and it’s pretty obvious he plays regularly with injury. Yes he is committed to NSW but that doesn’t override his Roosters commitments.

      Err,, actually.. I know
      Bullshit
Slightly off topic but that guy that filled in last week for Melbourne Nicho Hynes had a top game for a guy on debut. He is a first grader if ever Ive seen one.

Not directed at you Skeez, Its just an obsevation it doesnt mean I go for the Storm. Go the Roosters.

        > Captain Boyd Cordner will come out of the side this week in a bid to be at 100% for next week.

So he's out but old mate the physio was wrong.

Robbo was pretty cagey in his press conference today, he did hint at there being another "minor" issue that occurred while Boyd was rehabbing the calf strain.

No question Boyd loves the Roosters, the issue with being NSW/Australian Captain is he occasionally is put into a position to make a decision to play rep footy that affects his ability to play for the Roosters.

            The scheduling is the issue.

It’s not uncommon. Favouring one muscle and subconsciously adjusting your gait you often put undue strain on surrounding muscles or the opposite leg. Cords is a quick healer. He’ll be back soon, and always plays when we need him to.

I remember seeing Brad Fittler pushing a trolley in the supermarket 2 days after an Origin in 2000. The poor bloke was limping using the trolley as a zimmer frame. Played 2 days later and virtually won us the game after sweeping Qld 3-0

That was the year we finally got to the last game.

Brad captained NSW and Aus that year

                Scheduling isn’t an issue
                ..it’ll be interesting to see

A fit and fresh SST, Hall, Cords and Friendy for the finals!
                  I'll take that.

                    Cordner -

"I called Robbo and said, 'mate, can you put me on the extended bench, I'm sweet to play'. But obviously having not spoken to the medical staff. That was my bad,"

"Hopefully I'm back next week. Actually, I think it will be next week. I'm sweet."

Imagine coming back into finals football after months on the sideline, with no form or match fitness under your belt.

                      I don't like it.

SST our for weeks is still better than the farmer.
Cordner is a machine, plus we have Crichton if he needs a few minutes on the bench.
And Look how friend played last time he was out and came back. He was a weapon.
We will be a better team with those guys

I think they will come back before the finals anyway - hopefully SST gets three games in Cords two which is more than enough for those two guys - the lay-off hasn’t been long. Friendy hopefully gets a game in which will let us run without Sam for week one of the finals which will be good .

I don't think they'll carry Verills in the finals. Radley will be the back up.

The bench will probably be Butcher, Liu, Tetevano and Maubs.

Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

You are probably correct there - play Jake and if he needs a rest or replaced then Aubbo can slot in. Or Victor but I really think since he has been back at 13 our attack is far slicker and it may be coincidence but I don’t think so. Really want him to stay at 13 for mine.

Will Friend be better than Verrills? Big risk IMO given how little he's played this season.
