I believe it to be illegitimate and is introducing all sorts of cheating in our game. Without this law last year where were the raiders? It’s so powerful they’re in the top 4 and beat storm with a try from a strip. If that was us losing in a grande final I’d be fuming. It gives too much of an advantage to the defending side. Are games and the title going to be decided on which team strips the ball the best? I think it’s overkill and ruins the game. Your thoughts.

One on one strips - overkill? cheating?

Hodgson got penalised twice for attempting a strip during that game, raiders got two blokes put in the bin and were down 18-0, a gutsy effort to win that game from nowhere, and a great play won it.
i don’t see how either of those two teams beat the chooks if we are on, still ours to lose.

We should be training to do the same thing. Its in the rules, so rather than whinge about it, we should be training and practising the 'drop off one on one strips'. Like it or not, its legit for the rest of this season, and wont be changed (if at all) till next season.

Stripping has now become a bit of a trick shot. They need to change it back.
That said, they're not going to change it this year and we need to wisen up and have better ball security. Having the ball stripped is pretty much the same as conceding a penalty while in possession.

It’s the crafty poms. Good on em really, been such a blight on the game before that.
I remember growing up playing league, then going to high school and playing union where the ball was live and players reefed the ball where the could.
Taught me to hang on to it. So should they..it’ll be interesting to see

It can win a team the comp. it poses a big problem for us especially that we don’t use it. I personally don’t like it but it’s used against us.

It's a smart play even if the defender doesnt win the ball as long as he make s the tackle . Hes has slowed the play the ball up and allowed the line to set. On the other hand it could backfire with a offload or a surge so it's a move for a specialist and the raiders seem to have a few. Good luck to em theyl need more than that to beat the chooks
