        No thanks.
I'm really amused at the comments by Rooster supporters bitching about Sonny Bill's baggage. neither Mundine nor Khodr will be playing for us so I don't understand their reasoning. Sonny Bill left the dogs under a controversial cloud and I remember at that time reading Sonny was coerced by Bulldog officials into signing a contract with a value far less than a player of his ability would be expected to sign. Does it not seem strange the Bulldogs have showed interest in re- signing the guy. I saw flashes of his brilliance recently and remember only too well how he cut teams asunder in his days at the Bulldogs. I want him and I want him now..

        • Aramis,
I think you are missing something. SBW was signed at the Bulldogs at a very reasonable rate, other players took paycuts to enable this.
The baggage has def had its influence in the past, they turn it into a situation all about SBW

            • Reading this subject makes me feel like I'm in some sort of timewarp.

The last time I read all this type of hyping up is when we bought the Wanka Mason. About he was all we needed to go to the next level, win a premiership, yadayadayada.

And in the end the only thing we obtained whilst he was at the Club was a wooden spoon. He was a dud.

As Scummy Bill's signing would be another dud one. The bloke has no respect and commitment for any club that he plays for. He'd cost a bloody fortune and he's been out of the game for a few years now. We all saw how long it took Gasnier to get back in shape to play league and he'd been out of the game a shorter time than Scummy Bill.

No one can tell me that playing 1/2 a game of yawnion occasionally (which is about all he's managed in recent times) will make him an instant success on his return to the NRL.

But no doubt some of you will continue to live the dream. I fear the reality, if it eventuates, will be far less pleasant.

Scummy Bill = the Wanka Part 2. Result is disharmony at the Roosters.

Just when we'd cleared out the rubbish, we consider bringing a dumpster full of it back into our midst.

              • I can't agree NC. Mason is a party boy criminal wannabee while Sonny Bill is a clean living supreme athlete. Mason was just another forward whereas SBW will likely be played in the centres. I see him becoming a Mal Meninga style centre. Big, brutal, hard to stop and a monster in defence.

If and when he plays which may not be all that often. This supreme athlete your'e talking about has always been fragile physically and has a history of being injury prone.

As for your claim to his being clean living - I think I'll leave that alone as anything I post will not be complimentary. Let's just say that I've come to be a little suspicious of supposed 'reformed' characters.

or do you mean big and stupid and too lazy to play in the forwards

He smashed us in the 04 GF. I can still picture Flannery flying in the air with his nuts heading to the moon.
NC you were right about Mason
But not SBW he didnt desert league for his own self .If he told the truth it would bring down RL again.
He would be a good buy and well worthy of it.
My info is that union bores the crap out of him.

                        • Brain, nothing will change the fact that Scummy Bill spends as much time on the sidelines injured as he does on the park and has done so for most of his career. He always has been and still is injury prone. And that's the most positive thing I can say about him to be honest.

I know most roosters supporters would like him at the Club, but I am not one of them.

I see it as the Mason debacle reincarnated. Typical Easts of course. That much I do accept.
