He has been very ordinary recently. Cooper looks good when he is actually given the ball out in front with a backline along side him. But too often (due to a shocking control of the breakdown, and poor performance from Genia), he is given it with no options, which triggers him over playing his hand.

A Braith-Finch? Not on your life.
Both are quality players and I like them both, but in that period from the 75th - 78th minute instead AB's 22 (majority inside the 5 metre line) his refusal to give the ball out to the backs was ridiculous, its as if he couldn't read the score board and thought that needed to just keep it down there end...that had to be the most frustrating 3 minutes of my Sport watching career..ever!!

Another unnoticed factor of Cooper's poor form is the selection of McCabe.

Yes, Deans, he runs straight. So what? Everyone can tackle at international level. All McCabe does is tackle and run straight. He offers Cooper nothing.

Barnes should have been there from the outset.

Yep and O'Connor is wasted on the wing, every time he runs he kills it, yet he barely gets the ball.
Brian Smith might even do a better job...seriously !

Sadly he wasnt far off the mark this year.

I saw nothing from Quade Cooper that would give me any desire for him to be at this club.

I'd rather have Todd Carney than Quade Cooper.

I think Quade would suit Rugby League, there's not place in Union for his high flair style of game yet we've seen Carney & Marshall succeed massively. There's a time and place for his creativity in league, there's not in Union... certainly not at the highest level anyway it seems.

sorry Rooster_6 but that is not true. There is a lot of flair shown by the good players at the right time.
Its just Cooper doesn't have it upstairs

This was my thoughts exactly. In union you only have a metre to move. In league you have 10. Quade would be more suited to the space he gets.

unless you were playing against St Merge in 2010, then you only have 5 m

Yeah but once the balls passed back from the hooker it becomes about 10 (maybe I'm exaggerating a bit). In union they dont pass it back very far which usually gives them more like 3m but still you can see the difference.

people still are forgetting that Cooper cannot tackle. Some on here say well neither can Thurston or Benji which baffles me anyway because they are both good defenders however they are streets ahead of Cooper

I think KB was referring to them being offside.
