  • Whats the chances...

Of Melbourne going out in straight sets in the finals?

Im hopeful but am I dreaming or is there any chance at all?

Who would you guys rather see us play in round one, Souffs, Faiders or Beagles?

That's the way I see it too. Forget the draw or who we play. If we are good enough there is no team to fear.

Im with yas in thinking we can beat them all but just curious if the Storm might stumble big time at the crunch end of the season. I reckon theres a real possibility they will.

Depending on player availability you'd figure they'll be favourites in their two home games. That said, they're not as dominant as they were two years ago and are far from unbeatable.

Don't care who we play. Maybe Souths - big crowd at the SCG would be good and we could get revenge for round one.

If Storm play Manly or Raiders they should have some nerves seeing as they both beat them at home (possibly will lose to Manly twice)

Second week i'd imagine they would play Souths or Eels - i'd think they wouldn't worry too much about souths, parra may give them a run but I dont see them winning. They would beat broncos, although sharks may also give them a scare

For us Raiders and Manly are just as good as each other, Manly have huge xfactor with the turbo bros and DCE with the rest of the team doing their job. Raiders are quality all round team with grubby players, and they have a good crack at chasing leads. both have good forward packs

Souths are the weaker of the teams, I don't think much of their attack but they stick in there - also have refs on their side. I would say Parra are are line with them, if not better

Always dread playing souths in the finals though, would be a nightmare to slip up to them. Still have PTSD from 2014 even if the prelim last year was one of the best days of my life

We've had a feast of success in recent years so I'm not gonna be devastated to not go BTB.

I really don't object if we are beaten by a side playing great footy.

What would annoy me would be being beaten by a grubby, cheating team that spends the entire match milking, begging for penalties in he ref's face, putting knees in every tackle, attacking the ball every tackle. I think you know who I'm talking about. The prospect of facing such a side with an egotistical, impulsive, whistle happy ref like Klein or Cummins in charge is worrying.

Changing the direction slightly when does everyone think we will play in round 1 of the Semis? Could we get a semi dry time of 4pm Sunday. Won’t have any Swans to worry about this year. Or so we think the Saturday night 7.30pm block buster works better ?

                    Thoughts?

Assuming Brisbane Lions lose week 1 of AFL finals, which is expected, I assume we will play on the night that they are not hosting their week 2 finals as Melbourne will play on the night they are to avoid a Melbourne clash.

And Brisbane would play on the Saturday night FYI, meaning we likely play Friday September 13.

Why on earth do people think Storm will go out in straights sets? Yes possible but it’s possible for any side but probably most unlikely out of all the sides that it’s them.

Who care I’m with those above if we are good enough and I think we are I don’t care who we play when.

The only team I don’t want to play through finals is Souffs, for one reason Damien Cook, our defence around the ruck marker area is our achillies heel and if anyone can exploit it, it is him

I don't see the Storm going out in straight sets. They will pick up the performances when they need to. They will learn from their recent losses to the Raiders and Chip Stealers.

Don't care who we play in the finals - whoever it is we need to be good enough to beat them.

So long as the Vermin don't win the comp, that's all I ask.
