If there's one good thing Hunt is great at, it's the grubber kick behind the line. Which funnily enough, is something our halves are incapable of doing

I still remember when he had to pull on the 6 in Origin with no other instruction than to defend - and he did just that. Leading with his shoulder each time.
.
I always laughed when the Ch9 morons would start going on about how hard he runs the ball back, only to see him pass, or job then submit time and time again.
Khunt is a myth and nothing more.
The only thing he did well was fit into the double block pattern of the Bennett Broncos attack
Everything else was pure hypeThe Internet is a place for posting silly things

I will agree with you that Ch.9 certainly overhyped him. Just like they do with Benji and any other flavour of the month player.
I also do concede that he was playing in a great system.
However, i think that he is a great athlete with a good football brain.

Hunt is a massive no.
If we were hypothetically risking it with SBW (which I believe we should), why risk it with Hunt? At least Sonny Bill has been playing a real contact sport - Hunt is a fair bit smaller than he was when he was playing league.
There are better options out there. We could get Gagai and a decent five eighth for less than the exorbitant fees we'd pay to coax Hunt out of AFL.

I reckon there are more quality 5/8s out there than hunt especially since he hasn't played league in ages. SBW could play 2nd row but the 2nd rowers we have are great and have more years in them. He could play centre but I've really been looking forward to seeing Moga play and SBW will cost too much. Folau is good but i reckon we don't need a winger if they cost as much as he will want. Dugan is a playere that i would love to have at the club though. People say that he is lazy or he costs too much but he has a part in almost every try the raiders score, does great kick return meters and is a much better defender than mini; he deserves as much money as he wants.
IMO we should sign Maloney and Dugan and then we'd actually be a half decent team.

Any attitude problems get massively magnified at our club, because there are pubs and clubs in every direction, and the press is all over it (very different to Canberra, where the only way to get in the papers is beastiality).
He's also pretty injury prone for a young bloke. I'd much prefer a less pricey player looking for an opportunity to play first grade, like Gagai. We really should be after this bloke. He is third choice at the ponies, but would walk into our side with ease, and has the talent.
