It isn't the end of the world, but it is still a farce that we sack a player who still contributes in proportion to his salary, but keep the likes of Anasta and Minichiello.

I love him but I am sure there are things in the pipeline
How does that work? please.

So I take it that the contract was written in stone, airtight...and if it's a lot of money and he doesn't get a contract at another club the Roosters will have to pay out his contract, every cent.

Plus my comment "it's not hard to understand" was in relation to what Horry wrote, not the specifics of the contract.

This one hurts but I see why they've done it.
2 names:
1. Tautua moga
2. Dane evans
Simple as that. They see these two as future stars who's value will skyrocket within 3 years. Plus the fact we paid overs to keep symonds.
Evans and Moga will both play FG in 2012.
We still have 4 good front rowers in Tasi, JWH, Kennedy and Mose. Then throw in Evans and we have five which is about the perfect number. Plus, JWH's contract is up next year too so they probably want to sort that out quick smart.
Still, I will miss Ryles

MY understanding is the third year option does not have Ryles under contract for the third year.
So no pay out.
Dissappointing but given what Horry said, so be it.The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

You can look at a players meters gained and that but also at how many penalties and drop balls he has had and Ryles was one of the best at that... with that said, I do feel he improved at the end of this year but not enough to getting off the chopping block. In that respect, he was always a liability. Onwards & Upwards!
