What i thinks funny is, most of these people have been bagging Ryles for the last two years. Now there abusing the club for dropping.
Yes he should have been kept BUT the club is looking to sew up young talent. For future success of the club!

Don't forget the 3 tries he almost bombed.. Almost lost the ball in a simple try against dragons, avoided an obstruction call it sharks game with JWH try and his knock-on try against eels.

Another stupid decision by a stupidly run club.

We get rid of our two most experienced forwards (Myles and Ryles) and expect kids and park footballers to win us the tight games.

Ryles has been one of our most consistent forwards over the past 2 yrs and our best performer in the GF.

Obviously Ryles is too old for Brian Smith classes or forgot to give him an apple.

Unless we make a massive signing or two we are bottom 4 specials in 2012..

Didn't see that one coming. Very disappointing indeed, have really come to like the bloke. Hopefully we have something in the pipeline.

Despite the bashing he received from some, this guy did the same tough job for us week in and week out. A good old fashioned prop that every club needs. He even improved his discipline and he played some great , steady footy for us. No doubt he will be missed next year. There are times in a game when you are battling to get the ball out of your own 20. The dummy half looks around for the next forward to hit it up when the going is tough. Jason Ryles was always there to do that.

Throw in Kane Evans and Josh Ailomai as the reserve props

                  .
That will be an awesome pack in about 2014.

Will be lacking experience next year.

I dont see anything awesome there Fletch, or anything to get me too excited . Maybe I am a pessimist. I hope you are right and I am wrong. In saying that, I am a big fan of what Tasi can become.

                    • Lets see

risk losing Tasi, JWH, Masoe or Kane Evans, all for the sake of over paying an ill disciplined, mistake riddled forward who has one year at best left in him or upgrade and secure our super young pack and let go a forward trying to hold the club to ransom.

                      On Ya Bike Ryles

Next season should be about development, 2013 will be our year.

We have plenty coming through in Kennedy, Tasi, Masoe, JWH etc.

I don't think it's the end of the world.
end of the world?....its the dawning of a new one

                        great decision .

anyone with a half a footy brain knows that Ryles will be in the way next year . Take a look at the young lions vasco mentions ....cast your minds back to Tasi end of season efforts...woolnough wished he never came out of retirement

                        Time to go Jason

                        all the best

Yeh because the 4 mentioned would all leave if we chose to keep Ryles in 2012. Imagine the harm it would of done them to learn off a prop who has played at the highest level of the game. A bloke with a great hard working attitude... oh this decision is dumb on so many levels it's not even funny. Those thinking that Ryles 2012 contract will affect us re-signing our youngster from the 2013 season onwards really haven't given it any thought.

No-one is suggesting they would leave voluntarily, they are suggesting we wouldn't have the money to keep them, which is credible considering Ryles was asking for more money, and we're clearly getting ready for a couple of signatures elsewhere.

Ok so if we signed Ryles for one season in 2012 how does that affect how much money we can offer the 4 mentioned from 2013 onwards?
