Give me Canberra any day of the week next week, souffs worry me, wouldn't surprise me if we have to do this the hard way, remember no JWH.

Aside from the fact I'm nervous (and a bit nutty) every week, I'm quite optimistic about our chances.

Souffs were pretty much full strength while we rested 5 key players. Even so, they only won by 6 due to two gratuitous, back-to-back against the line breaks. We can take heart in the fact that:
- None of their pressure led to tries.
- We dropped about 5 tries (coulda been cricket scores against them if Radley + Latrell were more switched on).
- They killed our momentum by kicking to Billy Smith every time, thus largely shutting Teddy outta the game. Good luck to them if they think targeting Brett Morris will reap the same rewards.
- Several Souffs players are in doubt due to injuries and concussions. Whereas, ours are all well rested.
- Sam Burgess is more likely than JWH to be injured. I've got a feeling JWH will get off because the only part of his body that made contact was the prone, opposite side of his elbow (he didn't even brace). I don't actually know what his 'careless' hit was and any other player would just get a fine for it. Surely the Slater precedent applies and it's better for the game if both play?

Put it this way... much more scared of the Raiders' odd tactics than I am of Souffs. Although to be fair I respect Souffs' roster and tactics more. There's not a lot to hate about big forwards setting up a base so that the little guys can do some easy hole running. The myth that is Cook epitomises this. He's no better than Verrills but their game centres around finding space for him right down the middle.

I am rapt to be playing Souths again. We should have been up by 20 at half time this week, we clocked off for 10 minutes and let them back in, but they played their GF a few weeks early. We will win well.

This gives me some hope that others can step up for JWH.
