Bears vs Souths at Campbelltown Stadium today at 3.15pm. Only game not televised this weekend....great.

Winner progresses to GF qualifier in 2 weeks time. Loser gets another chance at Kogarah next week.

Grand Final is at Bankwest on 29th Sept, Sunday.

Bears somewhat understrength today but if they do win through will be in great shape with potentially Hutch, Billy, Sitili, possibly Lindsay and Dawg to come back in.

If Bears and Easts both keep winning will play on alternate weeks leading up to GF....which would be a big help.

Our Flegg boys promoted will need to have big games today...Will let you know how things go from windswept Campbelltown.

Bears rolled today unfortunately 32-12.

A disgraceful refereeing performance in the first half with 7 consecutive penalties to Souths and every 50 -50 call their way knocked the stuffing out of the Bears trailing 18-2 at halftime.

It doesn't just happen in first grade.

Take on the Jets next week. Some more troops and better officiating and the Bears will be back.

I left for the sanctuary of the club shortly after halftime as I didn't want to be accused of assaulting Mr. Briscoe the referee.

Bad luck for the Bears, but them playing next week might allow Ryan Hall to get a game next week, if he's fit.

It's 1/2 the problem with resting your 1st grade squad... imagine how the Bears mighta gone with Drew, Billy, Collins, Sitili and Verrills.

Sigh... we threw 2 games.
