Maybe you're right, but the second effort was pretty much the same actions as the first (which was clearly an attempt to play at the ball). You often get players trying to wrap up the ball even after it's been grounded.
Still, too late now, and he'll miss a max of 6 games next year, which is less than some were calling for.
I thought he got 8 but I wouldnt have been surprised to see him gone for 10.
Well justice this week would only look like Liam Knight taking out JWH in the exact same tackle - hopefully off the kickoff.
I think the bigger question here is how the hell can a guy who was so badly injured that he needed a medicab to leave the field all of a sudden be fit to play a week later? It looks to me like the Souths trainers sensed a chance to get a key rival suspended for a lengthy period of time and milked it for all it was worth. At least I hope that's what it is. Surely Souths are not that low that they would ignore concussion protocols and put their players at risk just to win a game of footy

Low? There isnt a word to describe how low that mob would stoop.

There is simply no way he would be playing if he was a Rooster. Someone send the dummy some Aeroguard and tell him to have a good weekend.

Some were calling for 20. He got eight, but the Raiders have at least 2 games this season. Missing no more than 6 means he can still get back into next season if he's good enough.

True and they might yet play another 3 this year.
Im not sure he will see much more FG in Canberra anyway. Waaay down the pecking order and not exactly impressing with these sort of repeat actions.

Yes, i thought if it was bad, medicab, you couldn't play the week after too.

I said straight after the game that Souths sent the medi cab out just to get JWH sent off.
