To an extent I agree with PWN about Pearce. He has failed to live up to potential so far. However, I don't think he is a write off either. If he could just learn to be smarter with his kicking game he would improve immensely. He is a tremendous kicker of the ball but he just needs to start using the right style of kick at the right time. Lets support the bloke in 2012 and see what he can do.
Also, I have to say PWN is hard but fair. In 2010 when Pearce was playing well he didn't criticize the guy too much. Actually at the time I was confused about the origins of his username. Of course in 2011 that became obvious but Pearce often deserved it. I think he can have a good season if coached well. Jason Taylor was a smart halfback, perhaps he is the man to help him.

Sandow and Roberts are more creative, but are far worse, because they couldn't organise the proverbial coitus in une maison de passe, and Sandow tackles everything but the man in front of him.
Travis Burns and Luke Walsh... do I need to explain?
Sam Williams and Josh McCrone - Shit with a capital S, playing for the comp's perennial underachievers.
Prince and Campbell/Zillman/Bird - an out of form bloke with talent, who can't tackle, and three makeshift 5/8s.
I could go on.

Execution of set plays...0.5%
ability to kick (short and long)... 0.5%
ability to defend...0.5%...

I would say his season in 2009 as a rookie was much more productive than any season that Anasta had here despite Anasta being paid top dollar.
I hate the notion that he rode the co-tails of Hayne.
Parra went on a winning streak when he came into the team - winning 11/15 games.
Previously they won only 3 out of 10. Jarryd Hayne wasn't responsible for that period, but he was the SOLE FACTOR in their winning run ? Please.
Next you will try to tell me that all 13 of his linebreaks were created by Hayne or his 10 tries.
It is a similar to the people who dismiss Pearce's career best season, because of Carney's hot form. Despite Pearce being ranked at the top in pretty much every statistical category for halfbacks.
Mortimer may not live up to his potential, only time will tell. However for his 'reported' price tag, he is a great signing. Lord knows, we pay Symonds just as much - and he barely makes it onto the field.

Not bad for someone who cannot organize yet for line breaks he was well ahead of Pearce, for tries he was well ahead of Pearce.. Even snapped a 50 metre field goal in extra time to win a match... yet you think he is rubbish and Pearce is the messiah lol
