Roz I am very curoius as to what line of work you are involved in. You have very strong analytical skills. Always enjoy reading your thoughts on the game.

    • Crikey! Riddell, Ryles, Mortimer... Whos next? Lance Thompson? I think I now prefer Quade Cooper. Wasn't he going for a song?

      • I dont mind them signing Mortimer, the kid has a point to prove, will most likely give 100% & should go OK.

Yeah, he's no Carney both on & off the field.

And I may well join in if Anasta moves to the forwards AND it impacts on our great young forward pack. But for now I will reserve jusgement until I see how Mortimer is used.

            • Bring on the spoon.

But don't worry, he says hi to supporters back at the club.

Ryles wanted to be resigned months ago and wanted to finish his career at Bondi, It never happened. George Mimis had approached a few clubs months ago, incase we didn't resign him..

                • Awhile ago i was pissed off with even the thought of there being a rumor of him joining us.. But now I'm actually really excited, he's still young and he has something to prove like Carney did in 2010, he'll definitely be grateful and give us his 100% commitment and effort. Great decision by Roosters recruitment..

                  • Decent signing. Might even make mitchell P look half good. Face it, we have zero depth in the half's and considering the half's are 2 of the 4 keys positions in the game, depth in that position is essential.

He might even add some spark to a lame backline.

                        BS you clueless cretin.

Ryles was cut, he already had a contract.

Having featured in the club's fairytale run to the grand final last year, the veteran front-rower has been informed by coach Brian Smith he is no longer required despite having one more season remaining on his present deal.

your the one that doesn't listen.
Ryles did not have another year on his contract, he had an option of another year and while initially agreed upon, it was at a lower rate which Ryles then decided he wanted the full dollars he was on for the first 2 years and the Roosters did not want to pay that, hence the option was never signed.

Try and be serious and you will look stupid

                            • Let's put things into perspective.

We are signing a reserve grader from the team that almost ran last, if we are paying more than $100K we are farking nuts. The people who think he could be some kind of saviour are also farking nuts.

That said I actually don't mind the signing provided it isn't for silly money. We have no depth in the halves and he is a young kid looking for a chance. If it didn't work out it wouldn't hurt really hurt us.

FORMER NSW and Australian front-rower Jason Ryles is expected to become the latest bargain signing for the Melbourne Storm after the Sydney Roosters cut up his contract 12 months early.
If he didn't have one more yr there would be zero reason to cut it up..
They renewed his contract then changed their minds and cut him.

Provide evidence to support your claim otherwise shut it.
