Imagine back to the start of the year. If we were told then you will be in another preliminary final this year, after a weeks rest, at your home ground, only missing 1 player from your top 17.

We would have all been delighted!

This game scares me. I honestly believe that Trent was desperate to beat Skeletor in the qualifying game against Souffs. We seemed to have played all our trick shots in that one game. Bellamy would be rubbing his hands together. I'm not so sure about Canberra putting on a cricket score against Souffs. I wouldn't be surprised if the reverse happened.

How do you know how many "trick shots" the Roosters have? And as for the Vermin game, yes, anything could happen in this battle of the penalty milkers. If Souffs get 14 penalties to 2, their tissue paper defence might not be tested and they can take a breather every time they take a shot at goal.

Whilst we showed some of our so called “trick shots “ in the first half of the Souths game, I think we have more coming down the left side. Trust in Trent to prepare a game plan to dismantle the Storm and give us a chance at B2B.
My only worry is we beat ourselves by not completing our sets and giving away too much possession .

Eels only had won 4 from 12 on the road when they played the Rain. They beat a side who was a rabble on the road. Let the media talk them up to be this unstoppable force.

I'm sure there will be a few different trick shots fired this weekend by the Roosters. It's at the SCG and Latrell hasn't really been used in recent weeks. Our right edge has been on display lately but our left is probably the most lethal edge in the comp.

It's one thing trying to stop a Roosters raid when stacking an edge in defense will cause the other edge to be short. Who do they number up on? Keary, Radley to stop ball hitting edge. Chrichton and Cordner who run beautiful overs and under lines. Teddy and Rads pushing on the inside or Latrell and Joey on the outside. Teddy sweeping on right or left edges skipping around his man, drawing and passing in the one motion to his outside or threatening to skip back through if lazy cover. Our wingers and big boppers steamrolling away early in the sets. Cronk orchestrating and maintaining control or our plan.

If we control the ball and defend well we will win.....
