i know for a fact schools etc were getting free tickets for last weeks Souths manly game - no mention of that. I think they do this for most Sydney finals in big stadiums for finals - especially with out of Sydney teams playing!

then they say the game is tracking for 25k, hoping for 30k+ with a good walk up - that’s pretty good for one Sydney team at the scg! There will hardly be any storm fans but we get bagged because it’s easy to report on the we’ve got no fans bullshit where there isn’t anything else to write about

just gives other fans and media ammunition to talk shit about us, just like the whole Tedesco contract thing fuelled the salary cheat stereotypes

Freebies are always out there with big games not guaranteed a sell out.

For us, we just add it to the "hate meter" .

And then enjoy our success, and let the losers please themselves.

It's a preliminary final (not a grand final) and we're against a made up team that doesn't really have fans. Add to this the fact that clubs always give out free tickets to various groups and like... so what?

Like the last GF, I expect there to be a lot more Chookies fans than Storm fans. Also, I doubt any neutral fans will be cheering for the salary cap cheaters.
