Ever since JWH threw out an instinctive leg and caught the prize scum bag Roberts, the Raiders then won in the final minutes and JWH was inevitably rubbed out I started to buy into the negatively of the press and social media.
I have spent the past fortnight reading every article and post of all manner of ill informed experts about why the Chooks were stuffed without our forward leader. I felt a sense of doom and inevitability about ref boss Cameron and his band of roided up cheats winning on Saturday. I felt like shit. Particularly at the thought of a team we beat twice (Raiders) and a team we torched when we took it seriously (Souffs) making the GF and not us.
Then I looked at there team. The mizzle are nowhere near as strong as last year.
Granted theIr strength will be up the guts and trying to get us into a dog fight and we will need to hold them and not let them dominate us in the middle. Holding them is the key. On an even run metres and defensive performance our back line will completely torch them. They have a raw talent at fullback who is due a poor one, a Centre in Olam who is second tier at best, another centre who is a desperation throw (Scott), a half back who was playing on the wing for a Q cup team 2 years ago. Seriously if we can hold their pack, not dominate but at least hold, we can slay them.
They play a good system which is why average players go better for them (it’s all about the role), they are big and tough up the guts and they are experienced, and I think Munster is a superstar, but we are tough and we are a real footy team who can turn it on across the park. We also have no fear. We are ready.

I started following Easts in 1974 and I love them. This is our time to be the absolute best. Be confident fellow members of the CRONKPEN as our team will deliver for us this win and maybe the first true back to back since 1993. WE WILL SMOKE THE MIZZLE.

Love it, mostly agree with your analysis. Papsmear is a talent though, and I reckon suggesting he will have a bad one is optimistic. Their wingers have ours pipped, just barely, and we cannot allow their back 3 to dominate, usual box kicks to edges, with a Chook kick chase, should cut em down. Warm weather, turn the Mizzle forwards around, wear em out. Reckon we grind em into the dirt.

I barely read or watch league media these days, I just mainline as many games as I can. The media has lost me, there is little to no unbiased opinion, and most of the content is obvious or unoriginal.
