  • The match stats tell an interesting story. The Vermin had 56% of the ball, made 250 more metres, made 5 line breaks to 2, forced 6 drop outs to zero, had an opponent sent to the bin and won the penalties 5 to 3.

I think the last stat was the most telling - without their weekly flood of penalties, the Vermin are a very ordinary team.

    • The Vermin conceded 10 penalties across 3 finals matches.

      Think about that.

      It's quite incredible.

Alas such charity makes one soft. And when you're soft you can't withstand the pressure cooker in the big moments.

Nothing new...seems par for the course.
They won 12 penalty counts during the season...we won 4.
        Charity it seems to be.
They seem to be offside often and don't get penalised often.

Last night was disgusting how often they were offside or allowed to hold down a tackled player. If that was any other side, there would have been at least 6 or 7 penalties alone from it and possible sin binnings.

Our local Bunnings stores removed the Diggers from their shelves in the morning so they didnt hang around long after as there was no supply.

Souffs won 19 penalty counts this year.

                    We've won 4.

                    19 vs 4.

                    But no bias, of course!

                    • To be fair the Raiders were also allowed to lay too long ion the ruck, it just took them a little while to figure out that they could.
It does pain me to say, but that was a cracking game of RL Just because it wasn't a try fest and dominated by defence, it was still a great game especially Canberra defence
