ill go with freddy if i had to name one. basically he did it all himself, cronk, teddy, joined a team who were finals regulars except 16. sbw came with maloney, jennings but the team was young and probably on the cusp of something but those big names took us all the way . when freddy joined despite the fact the team had improved massively in 95 under gould, freddy was just that classy touch who could also help attract top quality talent. we sunk like a stone post his retirement, missed the 8 after 3 gfs, when sbw left we still finished minor prems. not being arrogant here , but i doubt very much we will miss the 8 next year without cronk. but ive been wrong before.

Freddy (and Gus) brought us out of the dark ages.

Cooper and SBW brought professionalism, both on and off the field.

Other recruits, already mentioned by others, added to what was already there.

Coach Robbo could reach Jack Gibson status sooner rather than later.

I look at a player that could work in any team over the last 50 years, I think Freddie fits the criteria the best. I don’t think Cronk or SBW would have fitted in as well in the 70s and same for artie in the 2000s, Fittlers attitude could work in any era.

I do think Cronk came into a better all round well established team than Freddy or SBW did but that doesn't diminish his contribution

Grow up you moron..... I said the question was pointless, and replied to the OP's comment that Cronk DELIVERED two grand finals by stating that he was part of a TEAM...........try to concentrate, instead of making yourself look even more stupid with these comments, if that's possible. Stick to starting threads bagging young players.
