Who knows if this is what Robbo is planning but there are rumours around that Friend will be on the bench and Butcher will be the unlucky player to miss out.

As long as verills doesn't miss out.. the young fella has put in big time for us and has been a shining light on what we have to look forward to 'post jake friend.
Although some of his service from dummy half on the weekend was very suspect, alot of floating harbour bridge passes that Cronk and the boys had to jump to collect.
Will need to tidy that up on the weekend... crisp service is a must.

If Jake plays, it makes no sense whatsoever to play him from the bench. Regardless of who is the other player slated to play hooker when/if required, Jake should at least start for the tough stuff in the first 20 minutes, and if Verrills is on the bench he gets used when the game starts to open up and he can play to his strengths. Otherwise, Jake lasts as long as possible, and Rads is the break glass option.

It came from Verills himself after last weeks PF win. They interviewed him and he said it was a shame Jake got the calf injury because he was really looking forward to playing with him this week. Sounds like a big slip up in letting that out from Sam rather than an organised set up in my opinion.
So since that remark everyone is assuming Jake is playing this week if the calf is okay and he will play with Sam in the side as well so a bench player has to make way.
