This is like the Maubbs to half back at the GF. If Friend does play I don’t think Trent will be shafting Nat.

He’ll die in the middle for us.
Here’s hoping that’s not until the 79th minute.
i just don't know what they should do. Glad it's not my call.

No knock on you, fletch, but gee "around" has become an annoying buzzword in league circles. Everything is around this, around that.
All you needed to say there was, "Rumours Friend will be on the bench and Butcher to miss out."
The other one is people saying "our game" all the time. No one any more can ever just say "the game" - it must always be "our game". "I don't think it's needed in our game". "In our game I think he's the best player" "It's an embarrassment for our game".
On and on it goes.

If Jakes calf is 100%, then he will play. He will start and play for 20 odd minutes and Sam comes on. What happens after that depends on the game for those 2.
Lui, Tets and Angus will do their stuff as usual.
I'd start with SST and JWH up front.

Unlike Cronk, he hasn't played all season, we've been successful without him and his presence probably won't add much to our prospects (even if 100% fit). If anything, it would be pretty poor leadership to let a youngester earn a spot in the GF and then punt him at last minute. I can't see Friend doing that as it's sorta a d!ck move...
Makes me wonder if it's mostly a push tactic for Verrills so that he realises he's gotta train hard + maintain form if he wants his spot in the GF. If it does that (and offers us an out if he's not performing) then IMO it's great!
Looking forward to seeing Jake in 2020.

On and on it goes.Watching and listening to League over the years, I hear a lot of words that get repeated and become part of the Rugby League lexicon. These words stand out to..it’ll be interesting to see

Sounds like a big slip up in letting that out from Sam rather than an organised set up in my opinion.
So since that remark everyone is assuming Jake is playing this week if the calf is okay and he will play with Sam in the side as well so a bench player has to make way.

I predict he will get a line break / assist and a try / assist.
