People say that. Personally I don’t relate - I’m comfortable with public speaking. Key is preparation.

I can't resist recycling Jerry Seinfelds observation on public speaking. It is the number 1 fear of most people surveyed, death is number 2!

So that means most of us would rather be in the casket than doing the eulogy..

Are you a front rower with a high school education? I agree the speaking part is not so hard but remembering something precisely in front of more than 80,000 people would make most people edgy.

You should be very proud, Salvatori Grubber ! Though, I suspect you would have forgiven her, had she stumbled and forgot her lines?

The reverb down in the centre isn’t like anything you hear in the stands. It’s surrounds you 360 degrees. It’s off putting.
            ..it’ll be interesting to see

Of course - as someone said upthread: it was a human moment.

Firstly you have to believe in what your saying, getting up and repeating some mantra that you haven't written yourself in front of 80 000 isn't gonna be easy. Maybe next year they should give GI or Thurston a go.

Me too. My job requires me to speak in front of up to hundreds of people for 3-4 hours straight a week.
