I mean, how can you take it seriously anymore ?
they've made a mockery of this CCM and who the hell's judging, Mal and Laurie and Ben Ikin?

did anyone see JWH standing there ready to go up on stage and collect it ? I dunno if he was taking the piss, be a bit immature and bold if he was, so I doubt it, and he was being directed by someone with a headset too. When they said Wighton , JWH walked back to the group.

Could it be they mixed up the JW. .. either like the Oscars, and the winner is LA LA land I mean Moonlight ... or the producers automatically assumed JW meant Jared from the winning team and misinterpreted.

Dunno. Just couldn't make sense of them lining JWH up to walk on stage.

    anyway B 2 B Baby!!!!

Yeah absolute garbage. I look forward to hearing what the excuse is this time. Against Manly the excuse was they decided the winner before full time and Manly were in front at the time. They can’t use that excuse this time.

They need to bite the bullet and change the criteria so that the CCM is always given to a member of the winning team. GFs are about who wins.

They could award the Brian Smith Medal for the best player on the losing side.

Fancy giving the CCM to a half on a losing side that had all the ball and field position in the 2nd half but couldn't come up with the winning play. Ridiculous.

Why is anyone shocked about the CCM. The referees and match officials tried their hardest to give the Raiders the win but only for our strong will and never say die attitude we prevailed. But who cares about a medal. Back to back was the objective and a legacy that will always be in the record books for another 30 years.

Was it something like 50 tackles inside the Roosters cage? Yet neither Wighton nor Seizer could construct a single thing. But Wighton is MOTM. Okay, sure.

As a Roosters Fan I was fairly disappointed in how Jack Wighton was booed when he came up to accept the CCM. He had a great game and as an individual stood out. As for our Roosters, I thought Toops and Morris were outstanding with perhaps Toops nudging him in the end.

Ridiculous that this has happened to us twice in the past 7 years.

Many begrudge our success and this is another small way they can backhand us.

To the victors go the spoils.

I thought Boyd was the real winner, and I had Lattrell next probably. His defence was outstanding and hit the money play to win us the game.

                      Too right.

Radley and TKO also standouts. TKO almost 200 metres off the bench is a Herculean effort.

That's how I'm taking it. We just went back to back... everything else is subjective and was outta our control.

                          From the Telegraph

The NRL’s grand final has descended into another farce after Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was told he had won the Clive Churchill Medal only to watch Jack Wighton climb on stage to claim the prize.

The Daily Telegraph has confirmed Waerea-Hargreaves had been given word he would collect the medal. He lined up near the presentation stage as he waited to be introduced to the crowd. However, he was told moments later that it was in fact Wighton who was voted the winner by Australian selectors Laurie Daley, Mal Meninga and Darren Lockyer.

An NRL spokesman said the decision to hand Wighton the medal was correct according to the judges votes.

It is understood Waerea-Hargreaves was told prematurely by an unknown official he had won the award before Lockyer’s votes had been tallied.

The Kiwi prop had been leading the count at that stage but once Lockyer was tracked down, Wighton edged ahead.

It would have been a historic moment had Waerea-Hargreaves won giving a New Zealander the award for the first time in history.

Sam Burgess in 2014 has been the only non-Australian to win the prize.

The medal mix-up followed the game-altering referee blunder where Ben Cummins ruled six again before changing his mind.
