In the first incident in the game if Whitehead went on to score from what was called a charge down, in the commentary it would have come back to check how Canberra got possession. At that point would have found that Soliola's didn’t make a play at the ball in fact His target was the kicker through his legs in the air.

I've been tweeting this and messaging the radio shows etc hammering the point!!!
Some people keep saying we got lucky on that call.....I agree, lucky our star 5/8 didn't get carried off with an ACL or broken leg.
Surprised there was no charge!

Absolutely, Soliola took out Keary's legs with a tackle that Rambo Ronny Gibbs would have be proud of.
Reverse it out and Jared takes out Wighton's legs on a kick in the first 3 minutes.
There would be non-stop replays, commentators blowing up, a penalty to Canberra and Jared on report and suspension to follow.

As an aside, I think it's a terrible rule that when a ball hits a ref or trainer that the team in the attacking half gets a scrum feed and six more tackles.
My view is they just replay that tackle and the team in possession continues on (eg Roosters get ball back and just replay the 5th tackle).
Hopefully the NRL will see good sense to change this obscure rule over the off season.
