Pretty sure Keith the Australian coach and selectors of the national team choose the CCM every year so so be it in this case.

Is a bit wrong that two ex raiders legends happen to be in that group right now and raiders were in the gf but it is the norm for that group to be the judges.

I think the year DCE got the CCM Bozo was also a selector and judge.

I was listening to the radio on 954am the morning after the GF to a sports show hosted by a rooster fan(the same kid that reads the sports on 2gb in the morning) and he said that Daley and Meninga had JWH in front but it was Lockyers voting app that was having issues and Lockyers vote is what pushed the CCM over to Wighton.

Don't know how true it all is but that's what was said.

But I’m sure it’s not one vote per man - there would be a 3 2 1 system or something like that and they add them up and who gets the highest wins so it’s possible mal and Laurie’s votes were still significant for Wighton if they had him with votes at all

To be fair though Jack Wighton if he wasn’t the best on the field we was in the top two or three. It’s not the selection of him as best player on the ground so much for me that sux I can handle that. It’s the award itself in my opinion should be for the player that had the biggest influence on the result in a positive contribution that should be awarded it. But hey that’s just me.

Its probably rough of all of us to imply mal and Laurie would be unfair or unethical in their judging as well when I don’t think they display anything in the past that would make us question that about them.

This post is more about these blokes who are selecting the winner should not be on footy shows tipping who they think will win it, especially when they are representing the tab in that segment of the show, they need to take the grey out of the decision
