Back to back premiers is sure to attract heaps of jealousy. But we earned it. It’s a real concern that the CC medal has twice been denied a rooster team despite winning the GF by a Raider dominated and biased group of selectors. If you look at the stats any number of our players beat Wighton and helped us achieve what he could not do for his team. I suppose raider sentiment seized the Raider panel but justice and fairness should always be associated with the CC medal and not bias. The CC medal has now become an absolute joke and farce.

It's an unwritten rule that a MoTM always goes to somebody from the winning team. I think that's the only reason it feels odd (more than anything else).

End of the day there's only one prize for the best team on the field. If Meninga and Daley thought it was Wighton then I have no reason to challenge them. I can't think of a single Rooster who earned it by a mile. What I do know is that we put in the better team effort. That one's a little less subjective

I rewatched it as well and said the same thing. They knew the Ref changed the call but wanted to play the victim. He hardly had a chance to kick anyway so ran at the line and then cried victim.

Cant blame that call for their loss. They had plenty of opportunities to win it as they were probably the better attacking side for the most part of the second half but its also a game of defence and ours stood strong. Theirs didnt when it counted and we took full advantage.

As I have always said, if you leave yourself in a position to have a ref decide a game, its your own fault.

We faced our own adversity in that game with a player down for 10 and didnt falter. Thats the sort of stuff that wins games, not playing crybaby.

Watching the GF edition of NRL 360 last night, Ikin and Kent where discussing the Roosters being portrayed as the "baddies" because of the public sympathy for the faiders, and the whole everyone loves an underdog BS.
Ikin mentioned that the only way the Roosters can change this predicament is to "stop winning"

Paul Kent's article in the DT today more or less says that. We defended our bad calls and the Raiders did for most of the night too, but didn't react from the 6 again call.
