The No 6 jersey - Anasta or Mortimer?

Braith isnt getting 300k+ to be on bench

His say is considered and he is captain

He wont be benched or @ 13

His say was considered. carneys gone. No way they wont play him @6 unless injury

I think many fans look past the fact he is captain of our team. A captain following the lights of Fittler and Fitzy.

Mentioning Anasta in the same breath as those two is a joke - they did more for this club than Anasta ever will.

In an ideal world, Anasta would be patted on the back, and playing golf next year. I'd have Mortimer and Pearce in the halves, Friend at hooker and Mitchell on the bench.

Unfortunately, we live in a Roosters reality, and Anasta will be in the starting side. Like most on here, I reckon having him at 5/8 beats playing one forward down and leaving out talented youth. So Mortimer will fall victim to the Anasta phenomenon, and warm the bench.

Spot on Begurk. Not so sure about Mitchell at 7 but would like to see him have a crack in a trial or two.

The one thing I will give Death and Poison is that he can tackle so I do not mind this idea.

I like your creativity Jaggers but I can't agree with having Anasta in the centres. To be honest these days I hate seeing Maubs there as well. If Anasta was to go the centres that would mean leaving BJ on the wing and most likely Moga or Penagavi missing out on a place. I think BJ may well have a big season in the centres this year. Surely Smith can't be stubborn enough to play him on the wing for another year. Personally I think it is 5/8 or nothing for Anasta. Many of us may actually prefer nothing but it isn't going to happen.

anasta. play mortimer as the utility off the bench and bring him on for one of the loose forwards moving anasta in a bit tighter and allowing friend to play more of a loose forward role and let him loose. he could be the utility spark we need. i think keeping anasta in 6 is important though for stability and also team balance - moving him elsewhere simply greatly weakens us elsewhere on the field. he is far from the worst 6 going around and is a pretty consistent performer and good leader. carrying mortimer on the bench should give us that extra bit of spark when we need it without compensating the balance of the team.

I prefer nothing....
For me BJ would miss out until his game became more consistent.
Maubs back from injury changes the dynamic of our squad.
Anasta should play wide and Morts not quite as wide
