Latrell's greatest earning potential is at fullback, and there is no way he will be replacing Teddy. I don't think there is too much debate about that. So the only question is how much of a pay cut Latrell is prepared to accept to remain in the centres at the Roosters.

IMO our recent success has been largely about salary cap value for money, and I doubt we will paying close to $1m for a centre. I suspect Latrell is already gone.

Back to the original question about a better centre pairing, I watched John Brass and Mark Harris play some decent footy in the 70s and would be up there as an awesome combo.

I think with Maubs, Bmoz and Hall all leaving after next year plus Cronk's money that we should be able to keep both.

Flanagan is one of the worst goal kickers I have ever seen. On par with SKD.

Realistically both centres will be offered more money. It will come
done to whether or not they love the club enough and it’s great culture and coach to sacrifice some dollars. I get the impression that the highest bidder gets Latrell. I am involved with Aboriginal communities and from what I’ve seen, they are very generous with their families. So Latrell will want as much as possible to share around. And fair enough.

A good goal kicker is the one thing we have truly lacked since Maloney.. Mitchell is too hot and cold imo.

Latrell isn’t a fullback, he also isn’t a 5/8. Look at the work teddy does, also Jack wighton. They are constantly working for the 80 minutes.
he is a dead set centre, and a really really good one at that.
The advantage that we have is upgrading them for the 2020 season. Where as another clubs contract won’t start till 2021. So that gives us a bit of a head start.

I would rather current day Freddy Fitler at 5/8 than Latrell there. It's simple, we can't keep both. They both have the ability to create something from nothing and win you a game, but I haven't seen the development and maturity from Latrell. That and the fact that he is apparently chasing the big bucks leads me to believe he's on the way out. Billy Smith to replace him and bring Fergo back.
