... highlight the penalties the Roosters don't get.
1. wighton hits a slipping Tedesco in the head
2. horsburgh walks back through the ruck
IMHO, either could have been a penalty to the Roosters.
Before anyone jumps down my throat and says "so what, the Roosters won, why am I bringing this up," bare with me for a moment. Put those two incidents alongside Keary's legs being cleared out and a couple of other incidents in the GF and they add up to five penalties the Roosters could have received, but didn't. So, it can be true that the Roosters have been good enough in their three most recent premierships to overcome not receiving penalties whilst the unconscious bias against the Roosters has been in effect.
There's one other thing I want to point out that hasn't got much, if any, notice; the Roosters played 67 minutes of the GF with one less player on the bench due to Aubo's injury. Given the amount of defence they had to do, I think that win against the faiders was a remarkable achievement and no amount of sour grapes will tarnish the win for me, ever.
Go you mighty mighty Roosters. The snipes from my colleagues at work only make me laugh. What a team, what a club, what a time to be a Roosters supporter.
