i read somewhere the league players turned to RL because you can't play Unions rep until older. So older age criteria for union makes players steer to RL..

I hate rugby these days but IMO there's no way we'd win, even against the Wallabies because it's a totally different game with different tactics.
TBH watching us is a bit like trying to watch a league team play union. Not saying yawnion is better or harder but we've got absolutely nothing in defence. We just sit there defending 20 odd tackles and because there's no limit they eventually put points on us.
Is yawnion dead in Australia? We can't do anything at an international level, Aussie teams never win the Super Rugby and Super Rugby's all on Fox so I never see it anyway.

They have too many players on the field - need to get rid of at least 2.
Rather than having the defence on the advantage line, they should have them standing back 10 metres. Would encourage more attacking play.
They should get rid of their scrums. Sure, they're a battle of skill, but they're as boring as and take far too long.
Teams shouldn't be kept in the game by kicking penalties - they should only be worth 2 points.

As much as I wanna like yawnion, league was developed for reason. It encourages more running rather than kicking lotsa goals, using tactical kicking to make up for no tackle limit, delaying set plays (when needed) and the stronger team having all the ball with no real opportunity for the other team to recover until they score (at which point you kick the ball straight back to them anyway).
