Toops always had a couple of decent games a season in him - not surprising one of them was against his old club.

Now the rest of the season ... (yes I know, our lot were no better).

Souths cut us to pieces last year.

Roosters carved Souffs 40-29 in Round 1. We also completely dominated them in Round 19 but still lost 21-20 when Sandow pulled that FG out of his arse from half-way in extra time. That was my most disappointing loss of the year...should have been won.

They won that game off a blatant forward pass to Merritt..

It should never have gone to golden point..That stuff happened a fair bit last year..

I still don't know how we won that 2nd round game against the sharks. I watched the game on replay knowing that Roosters won. I swear that Cronulla had the ball for the first 32 minutes of that second half...when we finally got the ball we run in 3 tries in 8 minutes. Sharks fans would have been gutted.

40-29 isn't a carving. It shows that Souths defence was slightly worse than ours.

like ryles, i think toops experience could be a bonus for our very young side, hes still got a dynamic offload and when used proper4ly can be very dangerous! at the right price id be very happy to say welcolm home toops!

I liked Toops when he was with us, but what a career move he made..
