So it looks like Latrell may have played his last game for the Roosters

This is really very disappointing. Like someone else said he will go from my favourite player to possibly my most hated. He is really making a dumb decision though. $800K at the Roosters is better than getting $1.1 at a club like the Tigers or Souths. After taxes and agent's fees the difference would not even be that significant. Latrell really needs to address his ego and question who he is listening to. I agree that if he is really so temprementall then it is better that he leaves. Easts will miss him but will continue to prosper.

We are roosters fans and became fans of Lattrell because he wore the RWB. If he goes then I’ll become a fan of whoever wears the 3 jumper at the roosters. Thank you Lattrell, wish you good luck chasing whatever that you are chasing.
I am proud of the club’s resolve not to weaken and submit to populist opinion and offer overs for a centre and dispelled all the “ brown paper bags” rumours and “ sombrero” jokes that keep coming up on sports shows and social media.

I think he will end up at Souths and the sad thing is that they will probably only have to pay him 800k.
We were never going to keep everyone, I trust our club as they know the players, we can only guess at Latrell's attitude and what he wanted. I did find it strange that the club released a statement, I think it reflects how badly the meeting went. The only time I remember something similar is when our centre went too Rugby (western Force) but having a mind blank over his name.
I actually wish we kept Zane but he may be able to get a much better offer from another club so good luck to him.

I come in peace, venturing into enemy territory. First and foremost got asked by a friend that’s been a member of the Chookpen for years if i could sign up and shed some light on a few things you people may want to know.

Yes i am a souths man, yes i am prepared for the onslaught. In saying so you boys may want to know that Latrell verbally committed to us back in may this year. Won’t reveal my source because if this gets out it’ll be easy to narrow them down so believe what you will, take it with a grain of salt doesn’t bother me.

Latrell and his family are livid South Sydney fans it hasn’t exactly been a secret in regards to that. He verbally agreed to us behind closed doors in may pending money etc. This is where the relationship with the Roosters started to break down. Everyone knows how well you mob keep the lid on things but his mind has been elsewhere for a while now. The family think he is better off playing for us especially mentally. Surrounded by the community and a direct role within Souths Cares is the big driving point behind it. The deal is rumoured to be 5 years money has not been discussed ( to me anyways ).

No one has told me this but i suspect he’ll either be moulded into a fullback under the guidance of Inglis who’s no secret one of his role models. That or he will slot into 5/8 if walker is shafted to Penrith or the Titans on big money. Either way he’ll be a spine player within our squad he won’t remain a centre.

Believe what you want but this was settled long ago no other club was in the running besides our mob and your guys mob, well see how it all transpires over the next few weeks regardless.
