      • Wow! This saintnickle character accuses people of not watching super league then has the hide to say they have the two best front rowers in the game.....maybe somebody should watch a bit of NRL before throwing down like that!

I think a few members went over.

I have watched a few of the St Helens games the front row are very impressive, and Luke Thompson, I can see why the Bulldogs went after him.
Your Halves and Backs Makinson and Percival are also top players.
Should be a great match and probably a closer score than many expect

The Bookies have St Helens favourites for your comp this year and the Roosters for the NRL comp so chances are we will meet again next year.

                • Saintnickle and Saints2020, welcome. While I prefer Wigan myself, I don't have any hostility towards St Helens. At least you guys are not Souffs supporters!

Good luck tomorrow. I think (and hope) that you are going to need it. While I believe we will prevail, it could well be closer than many fans are predicting. I haven't gone over, but I very much intend to one day. It should be a cracking game and experience.

Roosters by eight. Up the mighty Chooks. Less than one day to go. So pleased the footy is finally back. It will be a much more enjoyable spectacle than that other footy game tonight.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Of course he is there, you will see him out the front before & after the game, he's the guy giving out the tissues to the St Helens supporters.

How is where I watch the game relevant to knowing your side is shithouse? Stevie Wonder can see this. Irrelevant but I’ll be watching from sunny Bondi.

                      • In the 50s and 60s English Rugby League was sublime. The lead into Test matches against touring sides was like Origin. KIds knew their names and after the first two or three games of the tour, three or four would emerge as absolute champions - names you'd never heard before. Karalius, Huddart, Reilly, Bolton, Billy Boston, Brian McTeague and many, many others. Even the club names were exotic and fascinating - Rochdale Hornets, Warrington, Wigan, St, Helens (which began with a church congregation - they were miners though). These were places that you'd read about in school when you studied the Industrial Revolution. English RL gave us a whole cultural background and a glorious Northern working class story with it, which is priceless to a sport. I look forward to a time when that GB challenge reclaims its prior eminence and I certainly don't begrudge any success that they have on the way including this WCC.

                        • I'm sorry this post degenerated into a 'You show me yours and I'll show you mine' but as the song goes - 'It's hard to be humble.......' yadda yadda etc. Anyway am looking more than forward to watching the game on my newly purchased big screen through blurry eyes and endless cups of coffee. The one thing that irks me about watching any ESL games is that the small size of the grounds dictates the sharp camera angle used which sort of foreshortens the height of the players. Fingers crossed for no injuries. MOM - Teddy.

Confident of the win and yes hope for no injuries .
                            Best of luck boys.
