Good luck mate, let the best team win! Welcome, and I too admire the passion of the English supporters. I went to the Wigan v Hull game last year in Wollongong and the atmosphere, given a crowd of 12,000 odd, was fantastic. There were thousands of travelling supporters. They were all happy and well behaved. I personally favoured the Warriors on the night, and they won, which made for a great atmosphere sitting in the southern grandstand with all of those 'pie eaters' from greater Manchester.

St Helens are okay; at least they are not Souths! Go the Chooks.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

I find the world club challenge feels a lot more special playing over there. than over here. Don't get me wrong, playing over here is a lot more convenient for us fans, and I wouldn't mind if every second year the WCC is played in Aus, but it just feel special when we play in the UK
        EASTS TO WIN!

          Good for you.
We need more league fans in the mother country.

Could the club raffle off a supporters trip for 2 to England?
              $50.00 a tix?

I was lucky to be part of the 03 tour with the great Artie Beetson as the host.
i highly recommend to anyone who gets the chance as it is an opportunity of a lifetime as there were so many highlights, including the WCC victory, a Premier League game (Hotspurs home ground), Socceroos friendly where we beat England, tour of the ManU home ground, tour of Wimbledon, and some lifetime friendships!!

Do the Chooks take a gamble on Billy Smith or a bigger gamble with Christian Tuipulotu & try to replicate a Latrell or will they move BMoz to centre & Smith/Ikavalu to the wing for the game?

I see that RL Experience tours has recently brought one out for next year's WCC. It looks to be a great itinerary. The club should have a trip as well.

This would be a first for a long long time.
Getting a chance to go back to back wcc.
that should be good enough reasons for the challengers to travel to meet the champions.

They would absolutely be no chance if they traveled out here to Oz so playing it in England at least gives them a chance to only be beaten by 20 instead of 50.

It is a bit of a bugbear of mine why these matches are not more evenly allocated/alternated between Australia and the UK. I understand that the WCC is supposed to 'help' the game of RL over there, but I am not really sure it has achieved or is achieving that TBH. The crowd numbers here have been quite good. That could reflect the fact that WCCs are not played out here much, or it could actually suggest that the NRL club supporters have an appetite for it (despite the perception that our fans are fair weather and don't care about the concept). Our club has a fabulous WCC history, and it would have been great to potentially witness a new chapter being written over here. Anyway, that's my two cents.
