Why is it always over there? I remember going to the 2014 one and it was a great experience. Will be interesting to see what the crowd is

Because I think it is a concept that has always been used in favour of the super league clubs to 'help' the game over there (although I am not sure how much it has really helped it). The crowds when it comes out here are generally very good. I wish that it would alternate or, at the very least, level up a bit more in terms of where it is played compared to what it has been. It has always been a reasonably good product, and even more so now that we play such a prominant part of its history and success!

Because they don’t want the score to be 60+ to the NRL team & also their comp will have been running for 4 weeks so it wouldn’t be feasible for them to come out here for 1 game.

The NRL asked for it be be here as they had no time to devote to any overseas trips, as they were very busy planning Souths Benefit year.

Damn that came around quickly!!!

My mental clock has been super slow because there's been all that darn smoke in Canberra (so I've been locked indoors with kids) and I'm waiting until next month to start a new job (while holding the flag until my replacement gets back from their holiday). This arvo I was just sitting back on my office couch with a cup of tea, looking all spaced out (woulda pulled out the Dannemanns but for those stoopid WHS police). Can't wait to start the new gig!
