- That was a good game of 'rugby' (they watched it live so I guess they know better than I do - thought it was league though)
- They're amazed by Tupou's size... 'bigger than all our props', overall (skills aside) our intensity and athleticism is next level - IMO a fair call given we basically out-muscled them over 80 (wasn't a very technical game)
- It's a bit more serious than a trial to them but they're passionate and proud they scored 2 tries... arguably coulda scored 1 or 2 others with some better execution but they were grounded
- Fair point that St Helens would give teams a run for their money if they played NRL every week...
- Be good to see this at the end of the seasons rather than as an exhibition/trial
Seems like we're all on the same page as to what happened (which is good coz I get sick of hearing Canberra's ~3 hours after the GF sudden realisation that a random '6 again' call that nobody noticed/cared about watching live [dead set the media seeded that one in people's mind, such bollocks!] determined the game - sick of that sorta BS attitude). Good to see their passion, enjoyment and level heads about it all.

Robbo is a brilliant tactician and doesn't get due credit as people just point to our star studded list of players. He improves players individually and as a team. We are blessed to have him.
Thought it was a good game and we did well to overcome a very spirited opposition first up from a spell.

Raiders v Roosters GF was a good example of this kinda thing (given Sticky basically copied Bellamy's tactics in 2019). Raiders fans thought they were on top and going for the jugular... whereas the way I saw it they were never ahead, only scored 1 try (off an incorrect call) and we showed up when it counted. The game was such that we didn't get a lot of chances so we needed to pick our moments. We did that perfectly then successfully defended our lead for almost 10 minutes while they desperately threw everything they had at us. We eeerm... had the better tactics for the game that we were dealt.

Your comments were beyond moronic...saints no chance, no player would make our squad, they are bunch of girls etc etc.
Pull your head in and try not to jinx us again. Enjoy the win ffs.

Great win by the boys in tough and challenging circumstances.
The Sydney Roosters - champions of the world. Bring on the three peat!MRR or Rabid
Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

I was quite happy with Kyle's performance. Solid, but not flashy. A good starting point to work on. Quite a conservative style of player. I think Robbo and Fitzy will be looking to work on his kicking game. Not bad. Is promising indeed.MRR or Rabid

Shit should really be in bed as 3:48 in the UK but got in late and watched rerun of game.
I was referring to Eastern Suburbs vs St. Helens.
Leading into to this game, at the time of the post, we had only played St Helens twice.
1976 Eastern Suburbs 25 vs St. Helens 2
2003 Eastern Suburbs 38 vs St. Helens 0
I watched both these games including travelling to Bolton in 2003. I am not reading this out of a club history page, It’s my lived experience.
It’s now three from three after last night. Eastern Suburbs 20 vs St. Helens 12
The other two World Club Championships were against Wigan. I could understand a southern hemisphere league supporter mistaking Wigan for St. Helens. Not a St. Helens fan.
By the way the game was a great contest las night against a great rugby league club St. Helens.

Really enjoyed that break down from Robbo, last year and this year again.
Puts Fox's post game production to shame.
