  • St Helens what a rubbish side. What a bunch of no names. None of them would make our reserves.
Your second rate competition producers second rate footballers. If any of them were good enough they'd be playing in the NRL
Ok than. You just enjoy watching your reserve grade side run around.

Your lot aren’t decent. Bunch of reserve graders. We won’t need match fitness. We won’t need to get out of second gear. It’s a trial run for us.

I have watched many Super League games. The standard and pace is similar to our women’s league

Walk into our team? Aren’t we the comedian. None of your players are above reserve grade standard in Australia.

You will no doubt go into hiding and we will never hear from you again after the game

Firstly 13 ,some of these comments made you look stupid and show your lack of knowledge about the game of R.L
As for the game itself i really enjoyed it and enjoyed watching the NRLs best. The difference in the game was your ability to execute close to our tryline .You have to take your chances in big games and you did that.
It showed with us that we were missing 3 of our best backs, and with Coote and Percival thing might have been different. We havent got the strength in depth of the NRL teams due to the salary cap being less than half of yours and had to rely on 3 inexperienced youngsters.I thought Costello and Bently played well but not so good Welsby. He is only 18 he will get better. There were many penalties given and can tell from this site you werent keen on the official ,but when you have
JWH trying to knock everyones head off and niggling the way he did its no wonder.
Anyway Good luck for the season ahead and you conducted yourselfs impeccably.
Oh and i stand by what i said previously and was rubbished by 13 in that our front 3 in Walmsley Roby and Thompson are as good as anything in the NRL.

    • Thoroughly enjoyed the game at TWS last night. What an experience. The St Helens fan were great. Fantastic atmosphere and great hospitality. Went out of their way to help us even though we were Roosters supporters.

Awesome meeting the players at the end of the game. Rads jumped the fence and mingled with the crowd and his family. **** it was cold though. Aubo told me to hurry up and take the photo cause he was freezing his arse off.

On a side note, I asked Brett if Josh was still a chance of coming and he gave me a SOLID ‘ohh definitely’.

        Good stuff SN.
        Don't worry about 13 - that's just his style.
Thanks for visiting and good luck in your comp.

That 26 year drought of Premierships was half my life of watching the Chooks, I was around in 74 & 75 which were good times, successful but I was a kid so it didnt mean as much. To be in my early 50's now & witness the Roosters being the strongest & best that they have ever been in their history is amazing. My only wish is that my dad & pop were around now to witness this with me.

Your Halves and Backs Makinson and Percival are also top players.
Should be a great match and probably a closer score than many expect

The Bookies have St Helens favourites for your comp this year and the Roosters for the NRL comp so chances are we will meet again next year.
St Helens fans you have a very good side, on what I saw you would of beaten most other teams in the NRL on that day.
The Roosters are the benchmark in the NRL
We will likely meet again in 12 months time

Saint, was a good game mate. Your side was pretty impressive. The tall prop would go well in the NRL as will the other one who signed with the Bulldogs.

Respect to your team. All I said was pure banter. I cannot let an opportunity slide to give it to an Englishman in a sporting contest between our two countries.

Best of luck to your team for the rest of the season. I look forward to the re-match (and further banter) next year.

What is the Red/White and Blue Jersey that he is wearing?
Notice the Saints fan in the stands behind him smoking in the crowd

Ahh those were the days when you could actually light up a smoke and watch the footy, was a good way to keep calm

Great effort to record the day, good fan.

How much would it cost him a year to go to England, Townsville, WA, SA, Gosford, Wollongong, NZ, Brisbane, Newcastle, Gold Coast?
The club should do a doco on him.
I had the opportunity to sit near the chookpens in one occasion and man.....he's one unforgettable supporter. I could hear him over all other supporters even though we're 10m apart.

Every tele games now we'd try to spot him sort of like Where's Wally lol

                            He is a legend.

I've sat in the Pen last few years and witnessed his passion and loyalty firsthand.

Cries of "Daggle Roosters.....daggle!!"...ring out frequently till the voice gets shrill and hoarse.

Goes to every game connected with the club. Wears his Jets jersey still to CC games, but supports Bears when not playing Jets...I think.

I swear he has somehow managed to be at two games at the same time...I think he teleports.

Agree with Mickie...this guy deserves some sort of doco. Mite call my mate Vossy.

                              Does Wayno use the 'Pen?

Respect. That champ's at EVERY game. Make him a life member...
