Many years ago I recorded NRL games to VHS for Tongan King when he visited Sydney

Back then he said to keep an eye on promising school boy Sio Siua who could make NRL one day.

Following a shaky start with the clueless Warriors & moved on he has never looked back....

That he lost confidence at the beginning could have been a blessing for the roosters as he's probably one of the most humble student's of the game....

SST would be a good candidate for most underrated player in the game. His footwork on the hit ups is so effective, he never just barges into the defence, there is always a little jiggy jig that enables him to get in between defenders and get the quick play the ball. Makes me wonder why more players don’t try something similar.

A belated response to this thread. Very happy with the news. He is an underrated, but such a valued, player for us. We have been spot on with our prioritising of re-signings so far. Bring on 2020 - our 113th season - strong, loud and proud.

Not anymore. He is very highly regarded and now everyone knows he is the top prop.
