The Sydney Roosters are pleased to confirm that Steve McGee has been appointed General Manager Marketing & Commercial.
Mr McGee’s role will encompass the football club as well as the Easts Group, which includes the Leagues Club at Bondi, Berkely and Kingswood Sports Clubs.
For the past 3 years Mr McGee has been General Manager with Kos Sports/Blades who manufacture boots, apparel and general sporting lines.
Roosters CEO Steve Noyce said Mr McGee’s appointment is a coup for the clubs and his valuable experience will help deliver a financially sound platform for some time to come.
“I am sure that Steve will be a great signing for the off-field team,” Noyce said.
“Prior to this role Steve and I worked together at Wests Tigers where he was employed as General Manager Sales and Marketing. Before working with me he was CEO Australasia JNL Electronics & Haier Australia.
“He is a young professional who is motivated by challenging tradition and developing and delivering plans that do work. He has a proven track record in growing revenues."
Mr McGee will officially start his new role next Monday.
