If the doctors have passed it, then don't really have a problem with it. All it means is that they have the same amount to spend on players as other clubs.

People are saying that Burgess will come back and play, but I doubt it. If he does, then Souths should have whatever premiership points they get over the next three years disqualified.

Yes IMO it's part of the risk of enterprise when teams sign players on long-term, $1 million a year contracts.

A large number of NRL players could walk into a doctor tomorrow and be told 'you shouldn't play professional sport with an injury like that... playing with needles risks long-term damage to your vital organs from the painkillers and it'll only get worse'.

Whadda you do though? He's not playing and if Latrell REALLY wants to play for a club that b*ggered up Inglis' knees by playing him as a FB when he had a ruptured PCL 'oh just strap it bro, we'll retire you out if it gets too bad' style (and also left his dad homeless + drug addicted as he was using drugs to treat an injury) then that's his business.

We have higher standards. Souffs have made it very clear what they'll resort to. What p!sses me off is that with the zero tolerance rule very much in place, Burgess continued to play with an AVO out against him and 'retired' during a grey period after an alleged DV incident had occurred (woulda known the cops were thinking about charging him). Not saying he did it, just saying the NRL's broken its own policy...

Yes. I agree. It’s always been going to happen. As soon as Latrell said he wanted to wait until November 1 to talk contacts you knew his heart wasn’t with the Roosters. He’s been waiting for Souths to get the cap relief and now it’s a forgone conclusion. I just hope they pay overs and leave themselves short.

I have no problem with Sammy boy being payed out by the insurance company & it not being include in Souths cap.
Insurance companies do everything they can not to pay people out so for Sam to be payed out it would all be legit.
