Question - why does it matter? Zero tolerance to DV. Surely this would play out when deciding whether to allow him to sign a $1 million a year 'support staff' role?

IMO if they were consistent with their rules then sure he could medically retire (on the basis he doesn't miraculously come outta retirement... EVER). However, pending the outcome of court proceeding, he shouldn't be able to sign a new contract.

LOLz... if the NRL were consistent he woulda just stiffed himself. But they're not. The DV rules only applied to de Belin and Barba. We've moved on from that now...

      MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Your trying to make Sam out to be worse than what he is. de Belin is on rape charges & Barber was throwing rocks at his missus compared to Sam telling his father in-law to fark off who then shit himself & rang the police & took out an AVO against him because he felt intimidated. No women involved.

So the Russians have been banned from competition in world events for 4 years.... I wish the governing bodies could come down that harshly on Souffs

No, I'm trying to say that if the NRL was consistent they wouldn't allow any employees to have outstanding DV-related court hearing.

Frankly, breaching an AVO + intimidating an old grandpa in front of your kids would by nature involve assaulting an old bloke and some kids. You could spend some serious time in prison for that. Not saying he will, but if I did that and I was a random fringe NRL player then I reckon I'd be fed to the wolves by the NRL.

Reading the Tele story where they say he is free to go to the Tigpies for next year.. just tells me there is something from somewhere else that the Roosters won’t allow for 2020. This is where I think Nick is calling their bluff.

It’s also interesting that the Titans are now looking to make Arrow stay for his last year of the contract. As we have seen before, there just needs to be one marquee player to move to set off the rest of the shuffling.
              ..it’ll be interesting to see

Either way I'm happy cause Souths are looking very weak for 2020.

There are a few clubs that have been decimated. Melbourne have nearly lost their entire backline, especially if Addo-Carr leaves

It doesn’t take much to get one of these orders especially a provisional one, just by having an argument and raising your voice can be interpreted as intimidation and if the PINOP claim they were intimidated, the police will issue an order . Comparing Burgess ( whom I detest) to De Belin is way off the mark.

Yeah right, serious prison time for telling your father in law to fark off in front of your kids.
