This goes from bad to worse.
Poor Latrell , he's just making a mess of things.
Not entirely his fault , the media are in a frenzy , slow off season since the Bali incidents.
But really , just go to Soufs , play fullback , find out you don't have the motor and get paid a million to play centre and eat up their cap.

Let's be brutally honest here. This idiocy with Mitchell started when he fell in with that "let's not sing the national anthem because it's racist" crowd. When you start worrying more about appearances than your damned job, you become a liability.

I’ve watched his interview a few times and each time it seems worse. Can you imagine what Nick and Robbo must think of it? I hate to say it but I really think what he said will seal his fate at the Roosters. To go public with the statements he made is disrespectful. I think his time might be up in the red, white and blue because if it. I can’t see Nick who is a tough business man accepting this from any employee. If he did he would look weak, which is so far from the mans character. I think Latrell has crossed the line. He won’t play for us again.

When we signed Teddy was the day that Latrell looked elsewhere..it’ll be interesting to see

I think the biggest lesson from that interview is that Latrell is never going to be completely happy anywhere except in the bush. Pay him whatever, play him wherever, he will NEVER be 100% invested because in his heart of hearts he would rather be somewhere else. Anything else he does is always going to “become a chore”, because it isn’t what he really wants to be doing.
It’s very sad, but I honestly believe he will not have the long and distinguished career he should. Unless he can resolve the restlessness that he feels away from home, I think he will never fulfil his truly massive potential, and there will always be the chance that he will just give it up & go home.
I hope for his sake that is not the case.

He said NSW went funny on him and Cody Walker. That could relate to anything... The way he felt he was spoken to after expressing his opinnion, the body language of managament, a change in language or conversational tone.
Think it speaks to really poor leadership when an employee speaks out about their experience and the boss comes out and gags them.
Its an abuse of power.

It doesn't necessarily indicate racism occured. It may be that the coaches thought, from their perspective, the trio's stand on not singing the anthem was distracting or taking away from the 100% commitment to training and team, the coaches were demanding. The trio of course would believe their commitment to their cause was in no way interfering with their team commitments. They may percieve that the coaches' claims that it was interfering was wrong and therefore view it as racist.
