I agree that Freddie has to be a part of talks between Latrell & the Roosters; i agree with Brain that the whole saga started from the Origin game. It would definitely help our cause if Nick also organised a catch up with Latrell & Freddie

After the Origin game it all went downhill; his whole demeanour changed, he just didn't look happy at all. angry even, you could see the way he reacted even after scoring a try, like " F*** youse all ! "

When a person thinks the world is against them, then everyone else is to blame. He is obviously cut up by all the racism; then he gets dropped from SOO; "oh F*** , they are all against me ", and i bet plenty of indigenous people would have told him the same thing. We are not a racist club, our best ever forward is an immortal legend !

It won't take much to fix him; meeting with Nick / Robbo/ Boyd/ Freddie will sort it IMO

Whilst I feel Latrell made some good points in his interview he is way out of line suggesting Freddy is racist. I'm with Latrell on many issues but just take a look at the kind of things Freddy gets involved in. He is a good man and absolutely not a racist. The general public definitely went a bit funny on the Indigenous boys over the anthem. Lets not forget his people were dealt with under the Flora and Fauna Act when Advance Australia Fair became the national anthem. His people were literally not considered to be human in the not so distant past so yeah not singing the song makes sense to me.

I'm with you. Latrell is not acting that a bloke who is committed to the RW&B. The only reason he now wants to chat about 2020 and beyond is because he's alienated the other clubs who were interested in him originally. He is now coming close to panic mode, as he figures out he may have totally stuffed up his future. I hope that Robinson and Polites inform him that's not their problem, it's his, and he can stay for 2020 if he has to, and then piss off.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

I dont understand how Latrell or his management or his supporters dont think we are showing him the love, we offered him 800k a season extension , more than most players in the NRL and more than any centre at the Roosters , he has be well looked after by us but yes was dropped at origin because he played not only poorly but lazy .
from my side I think the Roosters management has been above board , shown loyalty and honesty though out . We simply cant keep holding out hope that he changes his mind because the club has surely moved on and spent the money or allocated it for someone else.

As has been pointed out by numerous people, footy doesn’t seem to be his priority.

Whether it was his brother and family, his partner and kids, his people, the anthem, his fishin and shootin - he has indicated that they come first.. in front of playing for his club, state, country. Which is fine.

However clubs aren’t going to pay you $800-1m a year if footy isn’t your priority.
            ..it’ll be interesting to see

Yes exactly , you don't want to be paying 800k for a player that may or may not put in the effort every week.
No good for team morale and unity either. Imagine playing along side a player who is getting twice/ 3 times as much money as you and he goes missing .....

I suspect the Latrell that we saw in the interview is the same Latrell that has been at the club since he was 15. I doubt Robbo would have seen anything in the interview (if he's seen it yet) that surprised him.

Sure, maybe Latrell hasn't done much for us lately, but the bloke has been a crucial part of the team that has just won back to back. I'm more than willing to cut the young bloke a bit of slack.

I love Latrell and want him to stay.... but only if he is committed to staying/playing by the standards set by the club.

I really feel that Latrell (and his management/family/friends) are using the whole anthem saga to justify his dropping from Origin. Its just an accuse, rather than admitting the reality which was, he was dropped for a below par performance.

I'm not so sure. I've got no doubt Freddy isn't racist (I remember his support for Andrew Walker), but I wonder if Latrell would have been dropped if he had sung the anthem with gusto and publicly said that while he doesn't like the anthem, he loves playing for the Blues and will do everything he can to keep on playing for them.

Latrell is the best centre in the game. Sure, he doesn't have the highest work rate, but to be dropped after one below par performance was controversial.

Airing dirty laundry in public was dumb, and terrible for team morale. It's shit you can get away with ONCE you leave your employer. Latrel has made his bed...

Zac are you his manager his mate or in fact are you Latrell lurking on line , We all love him for what he has done in the past , but at the moment and in many games this year he went missing . Most on here seem to agree that Latrell has not acted in an appropriate manner in his dealing with his contract but you and that's your right continue to make out that he can do no wrong . Indigenous or not , singing the Anthem or not , dropped from the blues , all of that has absolutely nothing to do with the Roosters ,. We as a club and supporters have been more then fair and supportive .
At the end of the day we live and die by our actions and words.

Lol. No not his manager, just a fan who doesn't believe all he hears in the media.

Wouldn't say he goes missing, rather he's one of the players who doesn't have a high work rate, but can win you a game with a bit of brilliance, like a GF.

Maybe he's burnt his bridges with us, but maybe he hasn't. I'm in no hurry to condemn him.

And, btw, what you were quoting from me was making a different point.

Saw one group of Indigenous people saying they'd like the word 'young' changed to 'one'.
ie: "for we are one and free".
                              "Australians all let us rejoice
for we are one and free".

                              I'd go along with that.
But it seems most Indigenous protesters don't want Advance Australia Fair at all.
Two flags, which there are now.
Two anthems....Indigenous community gets its own anthem.
                              Two Australia Days.
                              And everyone is happy.

Yes agree with changes to the song or even change the bloody song , but 2 flags 2 anthems, reconciliation at its best
