If the Roosters offered him rubbish then i would have sympathy for Latrell. However being offered money that would make him the highest paid centre in the NRL shows they went above and beyond to retain him. He told Robbo he wanted to explore his options- and was told it was his right to. The Roosters were under no obligation to keep the offer on the table while he shopped himself around.....and especially when JWH and SST were being courted by other clubs.
Nick & Trent were forced to make a call. Imagine the uproar if Latrell signed elsewhere and we also lost JWH & SST for 2021.
Now its best for Latrell to laugh all the way to the bank & go to whoever offers him 1 million per season ASAP

I for 1 will always be so grateful for Latrell time with the club winning back to back comps with us. Even his debut season in 2016 what a painful year that was but he was 1 of the reason I believed for the future. Have loved every moment of it Thanks Trell tho I am now excited to see the next youngster Billy Smith step in and take his place and create a legacy of his own in the RWB

How did this all turn into such a shit fight? From boom superstar who we wanted forever, to a discard almost unwanted by us and others within 6months.
there is no replacing latrell, no matter how we disguise it, there will be others who will play well, but we have lost a gem, and there is nobody in our backline bar teddy that even comes close to being destructive and turning a match on their own.

When Latrell said last week he was bored playing in the centres i knew that the very slight chance of him staying was gone.
Now he can move on and earn 1 million a year, have the challenge of playing fullback.....and the Roosters aren't forking out 800k for a player who is bored playing in the centres. We all move on

I think we all need to accept that the Vermin will likely land Latrell now. How disappointing for him to know that at only 22 his best years are behind him.
He really has kicked himself in the teeth by not accepting the $800k offer. Many have said that as he matures he will look back with regret at this decision. I think he already is.
Good luck Latrell. Thanks for your part in the B2B. Real pity it has ended this way.

I really do think that part of Latrells money went to JWH. And I do think that over the past couple of weeks the club has decided to move on. By all means they could still offer a greatly reduced contract of say 500k but the roosters would full well know that that would be disrespectful to Latrell.
I really think Latrell needs to use a bit of that energy that he expells over the racial trolls on Instagram and start using the energy to save his image in the game. Fans from our club and other clubs are all falling off that Latrell bandwagon, everyone I speak to him just seams over him and that’s not trying to be disrespectful. He came out and did that interview last week and It was literally taking 1 step forward and 3 backwards. His management really needed to have talking points and not let latrell go completely left field like he did.
