    • I just wish BB would have some more balanced opinions than he does. We all have negative or honest/realistic thoughts/views from time to time, but this is balanced up by positive/supportive comments as well. We have two premierships in a row, something not achieved in 26 years! That is a massive achievement. There is a hell of a lot more to be happy about than not, I can tell you. BB, a bit of advice: think about your comments going forward, and particularly the tone you use to make them. If you are not a true supporter of this great club, perhaps do yourself and everyone else on here a service and go elsewhere.
      MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

He was clearly very disappointed in the result and retreated into his Redfern funk hole. The next we heard from him was six weeks later when he returned to tell us that we were doomed because we were letting Tetevano go.
I find it astonishing how so many on here think he’s a real member.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

You happy Latrell will be playing reserve grade in 2020?
He will be paid $500,000 in the last year of his contract.
Should his contract have been upgraded last season?

I was busy after the GF win, doing things that I had left during the footy season, to travel to the SCG for every home game and some away games at ANZ and Bank West.
I still say we needed to re-sign Tetevano to keep the momentum going for 2020.
I assumed all was well, then came Nov.
              Imagine my horror.

I'm still waiting for the post from you that says

'gee I got that wrong fellas. Thought we were really going to struggle this season but what a great end of the season! Back to back!! Go Roosters!'

But all we get is the dribble about Latrell all the time and how we have no hope now.

BB you say that we should have kept Tets and Trell, So who should we have let go?
We have had to upgrade so many players, you cant keep them all. We made an offer to Trell and he said I will test the market, in the mean time we can't wait while our other players are open for poaching.
We have won back to back, no way we are going to keep all our players, I think the club has done the best it could in the circumstance.
If Trell is here next year then he will play first grade, absolute BS about Norths.

I agree with you about Tets, I was disappointed that we could not keep him. The club took him to Vegas so must have a high opinion. I think if Trell had of sorted out a new club for next year then we would have had some money for Tets. In the mean time he was offered a contract with Panthers and had to take what was on the table. I wish Tets all the best after turning his life around.

you dont think he wants to stay with us more than he wants the Tigers offer ?

                        • Tigers have said Latrell will now have to come to them...expressing a desire to play 100% committed to them...and thereby commit to Madge's reported strict/very tough training policy that reportedly broke Matto.

I can't see Latrell doing that.

First thing Latrell has to do is decide exactly what he wants to do with his life/footy career.
Having decided that, then make it happen.
If he's not careful/wise, he might end up playing nowhere, no one might want him....and he might end up playing somewhere for 'peanuts'.

Have you thought about offering your services to Latrell as his life coach? I'm sure your general positivity and joie de vivre would inspire him as it has inspired everyone here.

Of course I do but we aren’t offering the big bucks the Tigers seem to be offering.

No, I would not be overly happy with that but, by the same token, I would understand if Robbo and co believe that it is in the best interest of the team. I have trouble believing it would get to that stage (for a lengthy period of time) anyway, so I think it is largely a hypothetical. I think $500,000 would be appropriate for a player that has gone missing in games and is playing in a position that he finds a 'chore' (BTW, I find this remark offensive - anybody playing for the Roosters should be blessed playing in any position that is optimal for the team, not necessarily the individual). Not sure about an extension - I think Latrell needs to prove that he is fully on board with and dedicated to the team before hand. Remember this: hindsight is a very easy thing. I assert that the club has handled itself well - as well as any club could have possibly handled this situation.
