There's a none too deep undertone of 'keep the indigenous kid in his place' around all the Latrell commentary. Not just here, everywhere. If you can't see that that then there's not much I can do for you.

That's not ok to insinuate that I or anyone else is saying keep the
indigenous kid in his place , well that's crap , if Luke Keary who I think is of white heritage or any other Roosters player of any heritage was doing exactly what Latrell Mitchell is doing I for one & I suspect most on here would be calling him out and hoping he would piss of the same I am with Latrell . Calling the race card all the time when its not what people are saying is what causes division .

But to play a race card for that paints you as a real desperate.
Dude, the original post says “walk about” and “in his dna” and apparently it’s a stretch to suggest he’s bringing race into it?

            C’mon.

If Luke Keary was doing this you’d be saying that Luke Keary as an individual is a prick (and rightly so).

You would not be saying that his behaviour was related to his heritage, as others seem to be doing (there’s been heaps of reference to Latrell’s ancestry in all this).

I was just responding to Pipes comments on using the term DNA, and it's modern day colloquial usage being widespread and not pertaining to race.

What we are witnessing is, in effect, a "No Dickheads" policy. It may well have been true when Trell told Manu, after their Test clash some time back, that they were the "best Centres in the world" and it is true also that he is a boy really and that kind of hubris is understandable especially since he can be so brilliant and has personally dominated in so many games. But the sledging and not infrequent grub behavior on the field which we often saw prior to the contract shenanigans surely gave some indication that he is problematic in much the same way, I would imagine, as Hastings was - difficult to reason with. Young? Immature? Sure, but best he be someone else's problem. The sad thing is that he's been rejected big time and publicly and anyone who has had a relationship breakdown knows what an enormous emotional hurdle rejection is. I'm, frankly, worried about him as I'm sue the Club is.

All this not singing of the anthem is garbage. How about the media stop asking the indigenous players about there stance and let them have there protest in silence. It's dividing a nation. If it's good enough for everyone to respect the welcome to country before every event , then is it to much to ask the indigenous players out of respect for other team mates to not make a big deal of it. Why take away a special moment from proud Australians who had nothing to do with what happened 220 years ago.
I wonder if big mal Loz and artie sang the anthem?
                        my guess is they did

No. People like you complaining about them not singing the anthem is garbage.

Exactly the point , why then are people trying to tie Latrell beimg indigenous to what is happening, as someone said in.another post, maybe we are witnessing a no dickhead rule., if you don't respect the club the we.dont want you no matter who you are or how good you are or how good you think you are

Exactly. The 'walkabout' comment said in conjunction with the DNA comment suggests a racial undertone. The DNA comment, if said in isolation does not. 'Walkabout' is clearly an insinuation about his indigenous heritage.

Latrell probably hasn't helped the situation by calling out the race card himself constantly. Insinuating that he and Walker were dropped from the NSW team for simply not singing the anthem was out of line.

Unfortunately Latrell is causing division with a lot of his comments. I personally don't agree with a lot of them - does that make me racist? I don't think so. I just have a different point of view.
