While I agree 100% with what you say , the trouble is that it never ends , the more people say sorry the more someone else says they want something more in return and on and on .
Its impossible to stop no matter who is right or wrong or what happened in the past or what happens in the future , some will just never move on .
We cant return to 1770 and stop what happened but we as a country need and must move to the future as a group and not individuals in order to heal .
if everyone was treated as equals , Change the dam Anthem , get rid of the union Jack on the flag , every person Indigenous white , pink , Asian and Muslim , all of us have an equal contribution and say , Imagine how great this great country could be . Some one used the analogy that if Germany won the war would we be happy sing there anthem and of course the answers not but another analogy could be if your child does something wrong and later apologies do you as a parent move on and accept that or continue to pick at the scab and let it fester .
I just think at some stage for everyone's sake we must move forward , but never forget the past and yes lets celebrate Australia Day but also commemorate Invasion Day.
The trouble with proper compensation is how much and where does it stop , no one will ever be happy , enough will never be enough , the only way forward is for all to start afresh from now.

We are a Constitutional Monarchy. The Union Jack is our history. The state of Hawaii, still has the Union Jack in its flag.
The Queen is our Head of State.
This system has served Australia well since Federation.
Celebrate Australia Day.
Start an Indigenous Australia Day and anyone who wants to can celebrate it.
Indigenous Australians demand their culture.
I'm not Indigenous, and as such I demand my culture...Advance Australia Fair, The Queen/Constitutional Monarchy, Australia Day, the Australian flag.
I'm quite happy for Indigenous Australians to have their own flag, own anthem, own culture, mourn on "Invasion Day", own Indigenous Australia Day, whatever they want to have and do......but leave my culture alone.

I wonder what our diggers would feel ,who have paid the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedom about changing the anthem. We would be doing them a massive injustice. It's part of our history , unfortunately there are other parts of our history Australia's should not be proud of , which is the treatment of aboriginal people and also the treatment of our youth both black and white in instutions. Maybe it's time to forgive and respect one and other... we can't change the past and if we keep picking at the wound it's never going to heal

I'm always respectful of anyone who served Australia in battle. My family sent six young men to the war to end all wars, with only five returning, two of whom ended up insane. They fought for a number of things, one of which was to defend democracy. I bristle a bit when people invoke their memory to serve their own political agenda.

It does, but not in the way you intended.

No doubt Latrell could work harder, but his best is top quality. Maybe as he gets older he'll learn to stay in the game all the time. But players like him need to be able to pace themselves and inject themselves at the best times.
