Pretty pumped for this new stadium. Not really fussed if it doesnt have a LED screen to hide the empty seats.

Roosters need to improve their fan engagement if they don't want to see empty seats.

Growth has been stagnant through a golden period.

The worst thing about them is that they are heavy artillery for the Libs who really aren't on your side. It's the Boss' party, the Party of Capital that opposes any policy that might be of benefit to working people like you - Medicare for example - I assume that you like that? They're all about preserving the privileges of the relatively small minority and that minority would definitely not include you but they thank you for your unwavering support no doubt.
And another heads up to Random - Scomo might dream of enjoying Hawkey's popularity but he's not for the "poor man" - his personal brand of Evangelism concludes that wealth indicates that a person has found favour with "God" and the poor, by extension, have displeased him. Apart from the gun buy backs you'd struggle to name any Lib policy ever that benefited the ordinary bloke.

I just don't like the hypocrisy of the loony left and I dislike the Paddington Colts even more due to what they have done to our junior league

Hey Teds, I don't really know what you mean by "hypocrisy of the Looney Left" but I do understand what you mean about the Colts of the past. I think that you'd find it a different junior league outfit nowadays. You gotta remember that the inner East (including Bondi) had a lot of social problems back in the day. There was little by way of entertainment and masculinity was pretty narrowly defined. Even in what is now the NRL, dog acts were common and they often the stuff of local legend even though they were, essentially, cowardly. Decent role models certainly had a place but tended to be less well regarded.
United was always the junior side that anyone with real talent went to - Les Hayes, in my day, was a Paddo luminary, a very able leader with footy smarts who, among many others, eschewed the "Nuts and Bolts". Nevertheless, not a few went to grade from Trumper Park over the years and were loyal sons of the East.
Like all junior leagues, ours, though small, has its traditions and folk law and people who, like you, value that - probably too few if the truth be known. My favourite story is that of Reggie Clough who, I think, was a Charing Cross A grader in their 1975 clash with United ( the detail is immaterial) at Waverley Oval on a very heavy September track. It certainly wasn't the stage for a Centre to show off his talents but Gibson was in the crowd, saw something, and the next week Reggie lined up in the first Semi Final at the SCG. I don't recall him touching the ball and he wasn't there the next week, replaced by John Rheinberger whose story just about every Roosters fan knows - another plucked from obscurity but the difference was that he was already graded in the U23s, Reggie was a park player and not a particularly good one.
Isn't that every relatively talentless junior's dream - first grade out of the question but one game in the big time - in a Final? No year long training, no hard yards (except, maybe against the Colts twice a year), no junior rep credentials - a dream come true that every wannabe can relate to. I think it a much bigger story than Rhinberger's (I'm for the battler as you've probably gathered) and possibly unique to our junior comp. You can see him there on the list of Easts personnel since 1908 - Reg Clough (1 game).

Im with you! As long as nothing gets changed at the ground and i can park my work ute behind the goalposts

Anyone remember the Henson Park thread on the old Roosters fan forum "The Wall". It had like 500 plus replies and used to take 5 minutes to load- although the internet was slower in those days

At the end of the day, we will get a brand new home ground.

Government farkups is nothing new. Budget blowouts are nearly the norm. Both sides of politics are guilty over the years. Influential individuals with agendas will never change. I'm over all the political bullshit and agendas.

Even though there was not much wrong with the old stadium in my opinion, its gone now. Move on. We get a brand new home base, that everyone in nsw is paying for. Go Easts.

I am looking forward to the new stadium. It will be great. We can create a new fortress and a bunch of new memories. Go the mighty Roosters!
                        MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Surprises me that we get as many fans to our home games as we do.

Well do you want to know why wages have been stagnant even though there has been 27 years of economic growth ......and how could it be that Australia now has one of the widest gaps between the rich and the poor in the western world....and getting wider? Well im not going to tell you because this is a Roosters footy forum not a political debate!!

I'll let Paddo Colt 61 explain how the reduction in taxation rates for corporates is just smokescreen for the furphy that is trickle down economics. He can tell you if economic growth profits aren't leading to wage growth, then exactly where is the wealth ending up at?

Im here to talk about the mighty Roosters!!!!

                            Any Latrell updates?

Tch...tch,,,Random. You're starting to sound like you've got a bad case of the Looney Left hypocrisies mentioning that Treasury advice about wealth distribution. You gotta wake up and get yourself some real facts buddy, like Ray Hadley knows a bloke up at Pt. Macquarie who's been swimmin' every day Summer and Winter for 30 years and he says the water hasn't gotten any warmer. Why aren't you onto that mate? And anyway, why would you wanna waste your time fretting about low wages when we've got those pesky moslems to worry about and our nation's security and dole bludgers?
My guess is Latrell to the Titans if Arrow leaves. Probably equidistant to Taree give or take. 600K including the Chook's chip in. What a monumental miscalculation on the kid's part - brings to mind the "new" Stadium stuff up!
