Now you know what the hold up was- despite the constant denials, it turns out their budget forecast was way off! Well who would have thought?? I can tell you if they were going to find a extra 100 million then Lend Lease would have built it and would have been well into it by now.

At the risk of making it political (and upsetting Bondi Boy), the NSW Liberal government have been a monumental disaster when it comes to infrastructure cost analysis-the Sydney Tram project mess should have been enough . They are very lucky that the opposition Labor party haven't got a clue either.

I was going to ring up Alan Jones and ask how the farmers would be feeling after learning the government found an extra 100 million for the rebuild. However with the constant delay of todays announcement it seems the phoney "voice of the people" has gone on holidays. Geez what a co-incidence. Maybe he is with The Phantom Scomo in Hawaii. When the going gets tough....the tough go on holidays. Im sure he will resurface for Sharks homes games and other sporting events to continue his legacy quest of becoming a poor mans Bob Hawke.

$100m is 'chicken feed'. Moving the Powerhouse museum to Parra will be costing $1bn.
The original guesstimate of $729m wasn't far off the mark for a project of that size...and is 2% of the state's construction budget. That's 2%.
A contract has now been signed for a fixed price...love those fixed price contracts. Gladys should be signing more of those.
$100m...no worries, the dimwits still using mobile phones illegally in their vehicles will be paying that in fines very quickly once the grace period finishes.

Sydney Tram /Light Rail project is a "climate change" one...you know "ban fossil fuels now", "coal is evil", "renewables now", "electric cars only"...to appease the "climate emergency, we want action now" lot.

In the end before knocking down the old one, get a plan drawn up for a new one, get a cost on it and lock it in. Don't say you've done it all then hurry it all through to get demolished because some disc jockey who is on the board of the SCG trust wanted it done before the election........ just in case Labor won and cancelled the project. Its 50% corruption and 50% incompetence.

Women's toilets, horrid...super horrid, women lined up for 'miles' to use them...how embarrassing for them.
